How far is Oriental Plums from Melbourne Airport?
About 15 minutes’ drive. The venue is at 38 Tuscan Court, Thomastown, in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, and that is close enough for a lot of travellers to fit in a visit on the way into the city, on the way out, or during a long gap between flights.
Traffic around any airport varies with the time of day, so treat 15 minutes as a guide, not a promise. Put the address into your maps app before you leave the terminal and check the live estimate.
For comparison, the venue is about 25 minutes’ drive from the CBD. If you are staying in the city, you can plan a visit from there too.
Can I fit a visit into a layover?
That depends on your layover, not on us. Only you know how long you have, whether you need to clear customs, and how early your airline wants you back. We can’t advise on airport timings.
What we can tell you is what happens at our end. Sessions run in fixed lengths of 20, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. Add the drive both ways and a few minutes at reception to arrive and pay. If the numbers only just work, pick a shorter session. A relaxed 30 minutes beats a rushed 60 with one eye on your boarding pass.
If the timing is tight, call ahead and tell reception. They can have a lady ready so you are not waiting when you walk in.
Should I book ahead from the airport?
Yes, if you can. Walk-ins are welcome, but for travellers booking is the better option because it removes the one thing you can’t control: waiting.
- Call or message when you land. Phone (03) 9460 3388, send a WhatsApp, or email info@orientalplums.com.au before your trip.
- Give an honest arrival time. About 15 minutes from the airport, plus whatever time you need to get out of the terminal.
- Say how long you want and when you need to leave. Reception can suggest a session length that fits.
- Choose a lady if you like. Look through the Our Girls page and ask for someone by name. The roster shows who is on today, who is coming, and who has just arrived.
- Confirm the price. Reception will tell you the total and whether a deposit applies.

What if my flight is delayed?
It happens all the time, and reception is used to plans changing. If you have booked and your flight is running late, call or message as soon as you know. Give a new estimate and ask whether your lady can still see you at the later time. If she can’t, reception can suggest someone else on the roster.
The same goes the other way. If your onward flight is brought forward or your gate changes and you have to cut the visit, let them know. A short message is all it takes, and it means the slot can go to someone else.
Landing late at night.
Late arrivals are one of the easier cases. Oriental Plums stays open until 3am Sunday to Thursday and 4am on Friday and Saturday, so a flight that lands at 11pm or midnight still leaves plenty of time. What should a traveller bring?
Keep it simple:
- Payment. Cash in Australian dollars or a major credit or debit card. If you have just landed with foreign currency only, a card is the easy option. Cash prices are lower, so if you have AUD on you it saves a little.
- Your phone. Charged, so reception can reach you if your arrival time changes.
- Luggage. If you are coming straight from a flight with bags, ask reception when you book what to do with them.
- A question about freshening up. After a long flight, ask reception what is available before your session.
You must be 18 or over to visit.
Is there parking if I have a hire car?
Yes. There is secure undercover parking right out the front, and the entry and exit are discreet, so you can park a hire car and walk straight in. If you are arriving by taxi or rideshare instead, the address to give the driver is 38 Tuscan Court, Thomastown.

Oriental Plums is open 7 days: 10:30am to 3am Sunday to Thursday, and 10:30am to 4am on Friday and Saturday. That covers most late arrivals and early-evening departures.
