What time does Oriental Plums close?

The hours are the same every week:

One thing trips people up. “Friday until 4am” means the early hours of Saturday morning. If you finish work at 1am on a Friday night, you are still well inside opening hours. The same goes for Saturday night running into Sunday. On a Sunday night, though, the doors close at 3am, not 4am.

How late can I start a session?

This depends on the night and on who is still working, so the honest answer is to ask. Closing time is when the venue shuts, and a 60-minute session needs to start well before that. If you turn up 20 minutes before close, expect a short session at best.

A simple rule: work backwards. If you want a full hour on a Thursday, aim to be at reception well before 2am, with some spare time for paying and settling in. On a Saturday you have an extra hour to play with.

Reception can tell you on the phone what the latest realistic start is that night. It takes a one-minute call.

Should I book a late slot or just walk in?

Walk-ins are welcome at any hour the doors are open. Late at night, though, a quick call before you leave makes more sense than it does at 3pm, for two reasons. The roster thins out as the night goes on, and weekend nights can get busy.

1. Call (03) 9460 3388 before you set off. WhatsApp or email to info@orientalplums.com.au also works, though a call gets the fastest answer late at night.
2. Ask who is on now. The Our Girls page shows today’s roster, but the phone is more current at midnight.
3. Give a realistic arrival time. Oriental Plums is about 25 minutes’ drive from the CBD, so allow for that if you are coming from town.
4. Name the length you want. Reception will tell you if it fits before closing.
5. Let them know if you’re running late. A text or call keeps your slot from going to someone else.

Is a weeknight or a weekend better for a late visit?

They feel different, and it helps to know which you are walking into.

A weeknight after midnight is usually the calm option. Most people are home, and if a lady is free you are less likely to wait. The trade-off is the earlier 3am close, and a smaller choice of ladies as the night goes on. If you have someone particular in mind, check she is still on before you leave home.

Friday and Saturday nights give you the extra hour until 4am, which suits shift workers, hospitality staff finishing a late close, and anyone coming on after a night out. They can also be the busiest nights of the week, which is why booking is recommended for weekends. A phone call at 11pm to hold a 1am slot is a lot better than turning up and waiting.

Whichever night you pick, remember that the roster labels on the website (Today, Coming, Just Arrived) describe the day as a whole. They can’t tell you who is still on at 2am. Reception can.

Is a late visit discreet?

Late nights are quieter, which suits a lot of clients. The practical privacy points are the same as during the day, and they matter more when you would rather not be seen:

• Secure undercover parking right out the front, so you go from car to door without a walk down the street.
• A discreet entry and exit.
• A private room for each visitor and no cameras.
• Your personal details aren’t shared with anyone.

What should I bring after midnight?

Not much. Bring cash in Australian dollars or a card; both are accepted on site, and cash is cheaper. You need to be 18 or over.

A few habits help late-night visits go smoothly:

There are no hidden surcharges. A small deposit may apply to certain packages and goes toward the service. You can extend on the spot if the lady is free, but late in the night that also depends on how close it is to closing.
